Around 15.4 percent of Africa's population was fully vaccinated against the coronavirus (COVID-19) as of April 13, 2022. Among countries, the proportion presents wide variations. Seychelles had over 80 percent of its population with the vaccinal cycle completed. On the other hand, only 0.1 percent of Burundi's population was fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Overall, more than 460 million vaccine doses have been administered in Africa since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in 2021.
